Want to move your household plants ?

I’ve been asked by customers about moving plants. These are items that I just love and know that people do not like leaving them behind. So for these people, I have good news, we will ship plants for you. The down fall to this however is that you can not water the plants before transport, as we can not have any soiled water possibly leak in the truck. You must also note that these are not temperature controlled trailers and they can get very warm inside in the summer months and freezing in the winter, not great conditions for most plants. We can not ensure their transport will be successful. If you decide that you would like to ship them with us, here are a few tips.
1. Use a large enough box for the plants base.
2. Put the plant’s pot in a plastic Bag to ensure the soil is secure and can not spill.

Snow and Ice need to be removed for Movers

Hello Everyone and happy new year! As the months have turned colder so have the roads and side walks. Please know that although the movers do work in freezing and snowing conditions, the side walks and driveways should be cleared for them upon arrival. It is dangerous to walk on icy sidewalks and more so to do so with a sofa in your hands. Please, if you are not able to shovel the walk for the movers yourself , there are landscape companies or maybe a teen next door to do so for you. Keep our men working in a safe environment.

TV’s and Freezing Weather

Well…winter is on it’s way and a lot of customers this time of year have questions concerning shipping their TV’s/Electronics in freezing temperatures. Well I will let everyone know that most TV’s come overseas from foreign countries. During this transportation time freezing temperatures are frequent and for long periods of time, so your TV will be safe when shipped in the back of a moving Van. Just Remember to let the TV warm to room temperature before plugging in and turning on. This is the same theory when moving Piano’s this time of year.

Can you move dressers Full ?

I have been asked this question many times and thought I’d share the news

1. The make of the dresser will play a large roll in answering this question. Solid wood dressers are great, but some dresser drawers have particle board bottoms (which may not hold up with items in them) Although the trucks are air ride we can not diminish all movement of the contents completely.
2. Dressers can be a heavy furniture item, so by keeping the clothes in the dressers can make it even heavier. If cloths in the drawers do make the dresser too heavy the movers may have to take the drawers out to move the dresser.
3. Keep in mind as well, that a dresser when being moved around a tight corner may need to be tipped up on an end, so any contents will not be neatly in the drawers at the destination.
It is the customers decision to keep articles in the drawers. however make sure that you prepare for the above come moving day.

Oh… it has been such a great Summer here in our office. Plenty of changes, joining the Era of technology, expanding our horizons and by this, I mean more trucks and locations. We have had our busiest summer yet and thanks to our amazing crews it has all gone smoothly. Only 3 more months and we begin again Thanks to everyone who contributed to having such a great Summer, the Staff, the Crew’s and most importantly the Customers !
